the crying tree.

crying tree

“If in our daily life we can smile, if we can be peaceful and happy, not only we, but everyone will profit from it. This is the most basic kind of peace work.”
― Thich Nhat HanhBeing Peace

If you run an internet search on Vietnam, most reads, films and other documents could convey that this country only left some footprints in between 1964 and 1973. My granny asked me if i’m not afraid to go there. And she wasn’t alone with that question. I’m far away of being a global expert, but i know that it’s just plain wrong to reduce a country to dark parts of history. As a german i can sing a song about that.

Oh well, the trees have their leaves back and i experienced a most peaceful travel over there. And i came back as curious as before….so i’m still looking for good films and books about vietnam and their people. Any suggestions are welcome :-)
